I did that but unless the density of the foam is know there is no set 
thickness..... at least that's what I come up with. I'm having an argument with 
a GC on a project that we have an attic system in and he's come along behind us 
and just went ape $hit with spray on insulation and now tells us we need to 
lower the system at no charge. There initial rough-in inspection failed because 
the building inspector said he wanted more insulation so the GC just piled it 
on so they could pass inspection, never thinking about the effects on the 
sprinkler system deflector distances.
