Considering that the fire load that we want to protect is being conveyed with full exposure to sprinklers above, and it's not practical in distribution and fulfillment center operations to store combustibles under such belt systems, I can't imagine why you'd need sprinklers below a 30" conveyor even if it wasn't open.
