Oops - they're not 30" wide, they're 30" AFF.  So how wide are they?  I've 
worked on some giant FC projects but the conveyors weren't 48" in any case.

Considering that the fire load that we want to protect is being conveyed with 
full exposure to sprinklers above, and it's not practical in distribution and 
fulfillment center operations to store combustibles under such belt systems, I 
can't imagine why you'd need sprinklers below a 30" conveyor even if it wasn't 
open.

Here is my question:



ESFR Systems that have some roller conveyors at 30" AFF that the the opening 
between rollers

is over 50% do they require sprinkler protection under them?



It use to be that they were not required to be protected!
