Then 13.3.3.4 A main drain test shall be conducted any time the control valve is closed and reopened at system riser. I understand that the alarms must be tested every six months per NFPA 72 with the valves being tested for tamper, if this is not coordinated with the owner then that's a lot of main drain testing. How often do you really think this is being done? Compliance with testing and maintenance requirements just for the annual inspections is a head ache for most jurisdictions. I've tried to make sure I am not taking this out of context or missing something. If this is being done there must be a WHOLE LOT of main drain testing going on!!! Any ITM Gurus got their ears on??
