I have an account that has 15 systems. Several plates have no markings, the ink has faded. There are about 6 or 8 residential systems that have typewritten paper glued to the pipe. Know what happens when you get antifreeze on those pipes? There are 5 or 6 systems that have drawings on site, in the sprinkler rooms. The rest of the systems, we just guess. It is not just the Hydraulic Plates that are missing/incomplete/iilegible. How about antifreeze loop shut off valves that are not marked ? Or is this valve is normally open or closed? Especially when the frozen pipe thaws out and no one knows where the shut off valves are, or where the drain valves are. The HVAC and plumbers mark their valves, why don’t sprinkler fitters?
