I would like to query greater minds than mine on is a space CC or Not .... Basis of Code is NFPA 13 2016ed.
Spaces above Ceiling, Below Floor Above: Situation is an Acoustical Grid Ceiling with 2x4 lay in tile (standard construction) 2' below metal open web joists (14" Depth) with attached FiberBoard. Essentially creating 3 spaces of consideration: The floor space below the ceiling, the space above the ceiling between the ceiling and the fiberboard, and the space above the fiberboard to the deck/floor above.
