You are free to change them back. I would argue that it becomes very
difficult to decide which issues are really going to be addressed by which
release unless you go to the level of including bug fixing releases in the
list of milestones. Furthermore, it makes it very easy to create release
notes when every issue is assigned to a specific release milestone. Just
filter by that release. We should not go back and relabel things for old
releases, but I don't see the harm in making it more explicit starting from
today.

And it's just one more integer in the label field. No need to conserve
integers. There is an infinite supply of them :).
