Okay... maybe I'm missing something elementary here. Recently switched (back) to Ubuntu 13.04, Unity, the whole thing. YMMV ;) I've been following along with Spyder 2.2.x, most recently 2.2.3 and 2.2.4. For some reason, I can't seem to figure out how to start them from anything *other* than opening up a Terminal window and either going to the download directory and entering 'python bootstrap.py', or if installed, 'spyder'. All well and good, but I'd much rather have an icon on the desktop or in the dock. I imagine this isn't a purely spyder/python issue, but if someone else out there running a recent version of Ubuntu can lend a hand, I'd greatly appreciate it.
