I think you have now isolated the real issue which is completely different to what was originally posted. I fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling Jivelite but I was using piCorePlayer which has a version of Jivelite precompiled and is one click install and / or uninstall. Given that there is a network bridge in play I cannot see how you will ever get the phone to control LMS but hey...
