Is that easy. Thanks. I find the 'man' for sox very complicated. There are so many -h uses, on gain and other functions, with or without explicit attentuation, and there even seem to be options to recover the gain if not needed.
The compression problem is that I listen almost exclusively to classical music. The dynamic range of a good proportion of this is way beyond most other types of music. Fiddling around changing players because it's got too much for one part of one piece will be a real nuisance when sitting and just listening for an hour or 3. So I'll have to put up with it. No matter. LMS 7.9.2 on PC, Xubuntu 18.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. 2 Touchs & EDO. LMS plugin UPnP/DLNA Bridge to MF M1 CLiC (A308CR amp & ESLs) & Marantz CR603 UPnP renderers. Also Minimserver & Upplay to same & to upmpdcli/mpd PC renderers. Squeezelite to Meridian USB Explorer DAC to PC speakers/headphones. Wireless Xubuntu 18.04 laptop firefox/upplay or Android 'phone with Squeeze-Commander/BubbleUPnP controls LMS/Minimserver. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ PasTim's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41642 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105309 _______________________________________________ Squeezecenter mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
