I am a bit confused over these settings. If I set 'Automatic' headroom,
do I need to set anything else? The resulting command for one device
that requires a 24/48000 input, playing a 16/44100 flac is:
Code:
--------------------
[flac] -dcs --totally-silent $START$ $END$ -- $FILE$ | [sox] -q -t wav - -t
wav -b 24 --buffer 131072 --multi-threaded - gain -h compand 0.3,1
6:-70,-60,-50 -5 -90 0.2 rate -h -I -b 90.7 48000
--------------------
I have to use compand to reduce the bandwidth because of a hearing
problem. Low volumes are hard to hear, but increasing the overall
volume (on my headphones) can result in loud passages being too loud.
If there are other better options I'd be glad to try them.
