Yes, this sometimes happens depending on which tags you change. A way to avoid it is to re-save ALL of the files from that album in Mp3tag: open all files in folder, make your edits, then highlight all files and save. A "New/Changed" rescan will then re-index them all and you shouldn't get two albums.
