Oh and you have to be in an area where Openreach are trialling G.Fast to get it. I got lucky this time having had appalling ADSL speeds for years in the past. And my line is only 110m from the cabinet, I saw the ducting when the estate was built and I know where it runs. You won't get G.Fast speeds like mine unless you are near the cabinet with good cabling.
The actual downstream sync speed on the line is about 326 mbits per second. But A&A don't have the infrastructure to support that without saturating their network links, so they cap it at 160.
