There would be a continuous 'stream' of acknowledgement packets sent out by the player to the server as each packet is received, despite there being only one initial 'GET' request. At least that's my (probably over-simplistic) understanding of TCP.
I would have thought that that should be enough to keep a NAT arrangement awake. But I have no intimate knowledge of these things. Classic FM was playing happily here all afternoon through my Radio. Perhaps you might learn something by getting LMS to handle the stream [1], and seeing if there is a difference in behaviour. There again, perhaps not. [1] Server settings|Player|Streaming Method = "Proxied Streaming" instead of "Direct Streaming". I've never actually had any reason to do it myself... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mrw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38299 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110413 _______________________________________________ Squeezecenter mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
