Thanks for this.  I'll try to do some more testing over the weekend.  In
response to question 2, it seems to be track navigation (skip, play,
pause) that triggers the issue.  And I noticed it happening when I used
iPeng as well the other night, so it doesn't seem to be just the web
interface causing the problem.

I did pull Michael's latest July 24 build down to see if the fixes in
there would help and it (anecdotally) felt more responsive, but the
problems have persisted.
