Last weekend I copied some new albums into the music folder my NAS.
Connecting with Cyberduck showed that all new files had permissions 750
and owner was 999 for the larger part of them and 1000 for the rest.
Don't ask me why – all files come from the same place and get copied in
one session using CarbonCopyCloner. I decided to try digimasters
approach first: Setting permissions to 755 with a normal user (1000) as
owner for the Multimedia folder with all subfolders and files.

Two recommendations: 1. Better reconnect with Cyberock after having
applied some changes as not all changes seem to get updated on the
screen. 2. Better stop LMS before applying changes, as it seemed some
files were blocked with LMS running.

After having successfully set up both owner and permissions like
digimaster suggested, everything's running fine. For the future I will
better do this procedure everytime I update my library to prevent any
struggle. I'm still not sure why it always worked nice without caring
about permissions and owner for so long befoire and why it then suddenly
became an issue. Anyway with your help I learned some things and now
know how to help myself with that kind of problem.
