Well, running Player as well as server on the same Pi is the reason i use "piCorePlayer" an i did not have any problems so far. I have samba shares on my sd-card partion (the one with slimserver) as well on my HD. Of course, the HD is no SSD (does this makes sense using USB2?). What do you mean by "pushing a Pi3 quite close to its limits"? i have not found any critical items in the logs so far. What do you mean could happen if i reach this limit? I am relative new in using piCorePlayer with LMS so i am thankful for any doof tipps&tricks. To be honest, im am surprised by myself, that everything runs so smooth and without any problems so far. I did not expect this. I am thinking about running LMS on a Pi4, but as long as everything works fine, why should i change something?
