I think you may be looking at the wrong place - the logging I refer to is in LMS 7.* or 8.* To enable logging WebUI Settings/Advanced/Logging (drop down box option - initially shows Formatting) Scroll down to network.protocol.slimproto - click drop down setting and change from "Error" to "Info" (try "Debug" later if not enough info) and click *Apply* at bottom right.
