Thanks a lot for Your reply. I'm aware that this is way old and I'm
already setting up in parallel a second server.
But since I as well run my FHEM Home Automation on the same server, I
first will need to resolve all the Driver issues
before going productive with it. I think It will take me another couple
of weeks until I'm ready.
I'm still batteling a few issues on the new server even with LMS. I so
far managed to correct most of the ones I was having with
LMS like Audio troubles under LTS 20.04 and LocalPlayer not playing
MP3's. I managed to correct these in the meantime.
The only remaining Problem was that my SRF.CH Podcasts stopped randomly
and when I pressed play again they would start
all over again.
I then noticed that there is a Podcast V2 available on LMS 8 onwards,
and hoped this might cure mit Podcast Issues so I tried to
update it on the old productive server since it advertised a new update
on the bottom of WebUI as all the other updates before.
Actually that's been the first update to fail for me ever.
I tried to add your suggested parameters in
/etc/default/logitechmediaserver like this:

After saving the changes I did
- sudo service logitechmediaserver stop
- sudo service logitechmediaserver start
Sadly this didn't produce more output in the server log as listed below.

I the rebooted the whole system. Sadly that didn't change anything.
Have I maybe put the additional parameters incorrectly? (Place, File)?
