Good question ...
In my case Reliable was already installed and I was running 8.1
I updated to 8.2 recently and saw the LMS log entry saying that it would
not run Reliable (which was already installed).
I have since removed Reliable plugin.
Looks it would run if "use unsupported" was enabled.

So would Reliable to check the version itself - which is not unknown in
other plugins when checking to see if a hoped for feature should be
available.
