Hi Jim, the benefit of this feature is said to be an improved sound, which I honestly do not believe - I am an IT guy ;) For me it would be to be more independent of the LAN and my NAS-system (QNAP). I have a very large music collection (lots of TB) and for me the QNAP is more save and reliable as one large SSD. So therefore I had the idea of this feature for the LMS.
