In reality, it was Cingular that bought AT&T and knew the AT&T brand
name has 100 some years of history... so they absorbed the AT&T name
and dropped their own.  (My poor cell phone has gone from AT&T to
Cingular and I guess is going to say AT&T again at some point.)

Sort of like Caldera buying SCO... and destroying the name.

Other than that, yeah, I agree with you: I think the 'Slim Devices' 
name is worth a lot of money / goodwill / namespace recognition.  I
hope the eventual packaging keeps it there.  Heck, I even like the
logo.

Just add the Logitech logo somewhere on the box so that it's easier to
distribute.

I still remember the Olympics (1980?) when virtually every ad was for
some food product and ended with "Beatrice -- you always knew us."  It
made me have the reverse reaction: I didn't want to buy any Beatrice
food.
