The only common denominator between the two locations is the use of Untangle routers. I have had issues in the past with headers getting stripped and causing issues, but why would the Sonos work fine?
I'm going to replace one of the routers with a pfsense box and see if that makes a difference. The only other thing I can think of is an authorization issue across multiple devices i.e. two squeezebox's iphone app and desk top, but again the Sonos uses the same account and never has an issue.
