[SM-USERS] folder list doesnt display properly

just installed - SM 1.4.1 (cvs version from 7/03/03)
Apache 2.0.4
php 4.2.2
red hat, 7.3
UW imap server.

In the folderlist, where there are sub-folders, the top folder doesnt 
display.

e.g.:  I have an "email" dirctory/folder which contains the sub-folders 
sendmail, spam and squirrelmail  I see:

(partial list)

INBOX
   Drafts
    ...
   trash
   dns
      sendmail
      spam
      squirrelmail
   food
Instead of:
INBOX
   Drafts
    ...
   trash
   dns
   email
      sendmail
      spam
      squirrelmail
   food 

In addition, it always displays as indented, even if I request a 
different format in preferences.

I searched the squirrelmail wiki on UW imap, but didnt find anything 
related.  ideas?
