Don't forget to CC the mailing list too, other people might have the same problem. As for changing the mail directory in UW, I believe you have to recompile it. UW isn't the most flexible program to use unfortunately. You might want to consider using a different IMAP server. UW can't change it's options easily, can be slow on large mailboxes, and doesn't support messages in folders that contain other folders.
