so it is the sshd component as i thought.. hmmm.. that sshd server is not in my
control per se. but am being told that it is my ssh. thought that was a the
problem since i could get x apps by ssh from one remotesystem but not the
other being managed from there.> Your SSH server isn't setting the DISPLAY
environment variable for some > reason. Look at your server logs and try to see
why. Also, double check your > server config to make sure X Forwarding is
enabled, and your client config > to make sure you're requesting it.
Thanks i will take a look. Most likely should have listened to myself rather
than the other end across the wire as 'did' have X11Forwarding yes. Well
we will see;-))
