If I had the need as you described, I would write a STAF service on some NON DUT machine(Win or Unix based). This service can encapsulate all the nitty-grities of talking to your DUT and parsing the response. And this service can be accessed from any test script on any other machine in your testbed which has STAFProc running on it.
But you must have STAFProc on the machine you want to submit STAF requests to. Hope it helps.
