So the question is: now that my local server has received presence unavailable from the remote server, does it send that information on to my client? And, if so, what does my client do with that information? I see no harm in passing it on the client (it is definitive information about the contact's presence state), and IMHO the best way to process it is to show this just like you'd show iq:last info.
