That's bare jid as in "Of a user's account", I suspect, not as in "the
form n...@domain" - any XMPP entity can, of course, have available
presence, it just doesn't make sense for your account to.
I am sending this for half a decade now and never encountered
(presence related) problems. But I never mix bare jid presence and
full jid presence of course.
Sending a random 1023 byte string in that place would be possible,
but I doubt it makes any more sense ;-)
