Yann - I've been thinking about this, and I don't entirely understand
what the use case is here - in what situation would you want to add a
load of people to your roster, put them all in the same group, but
then block them?

I don't use it myself (nor simply blocking a JID) but one thing that comes to my mind: I don't want my co-workers to see me online during the week end? or I don't want my gaming friends to see me online when I'm at work?
