The thing to realize is the StarMax only has two IDE channels so if you add a drive you'll need to disconnect the CD-ROM unless it's SCSI and the jumper goes to the neutral setting. If you replace the drive then it goes to Master. Online sources include OWC, SmallDog, Buy, come to mind; check CNET or price grabber for prices, you should find something for $60 or less, I recommend replacing the cable as well. George
