> This isn't a warez usenet. *raises eyebrow* Warez? Heh... So, you can buy official copies of the StarMax CD-ROM then?
Were I on cable already, I could host a copy, but it does imply that you have access to a CD burner? Maybe someone has the CD from a dead StarMax to offer, although you'd be expected to at least pay postage. I don't see why someone can't burn a copy, either. Warez, to me, means copies of software that you don't have any right to own. However, I think it is far to say that if you own hardware that was meant to come with some software, and did not, then it's perfectly fine to get a copy off someone else. I have a scanner, modem, video card and SCSI card, and maybe more, all without driver discs - the two cards I have no use for (and one is dead), the scanner is dead, and I got updated modem drivers from an archive of the manufacturer's site. In any case, for the post part, G is right - go with Mac OS 9 (and download the 9.1 updater, 9.0.4 was unstable for me) - Mac OS 7.6.1 on the StarMax CD is just a little bit outdated now :) The only issue to bear in mind is the CD-ROM driver - you may need a copy of the 7.6.1 version to run under 9. - Daniel. -- StarMax is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> StarMax list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/starmax.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/starmax%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
