Hi Daniel
I have the original StarMax CD (OS 7.5) that came with my StarMax and I have a
CD burner. Should I burn a copy of it, package it, and mail it to some guy
named "newsposts" for free? I don't think so. Upload a whole system to my web
space? No, I won't.
I bought a copy of OS 9, cost me like 90 bucks, as a Mac fanatic and Apple
stock holder, should I give it to "Newsposts" for free, again, I don't think
so.
Warez sites are for exchanging software that may or may not be legally
available to share. I won't debate those issues here, that's not my point, I
may even be on "the other side" on some issues. This is a help forum for people
having issues with their StarMax.
Now, this newsposts wants a free system, fine, he didn't get a response the
first time he asked, if someone wanted to work something out, I as a member of
the forum turn my head. It didn't happen.
So now, I say, if you didn't get a CD with the machine, that's your tough luck.
I know places where you can get an official Apple OS 9 CD for less than a
hundred bucks. If Apple wants to give it to you, great! But I paid, why
shouldn't newsposts?
I'm open to debate.
George
