Well I joined this list a few month back now. I run a 4000/200 which despite many friends scoffing at a machine of this age, I know to ignore them. It has been the best machine I have ever purchased in reliability terms. I am not a computer boff just a good user and have had many other machines. My latest will be a made up of parts G4 (when it gets unstuck from the postal system and delivered)! I am just about to receive an OWC Mercury FireWire card ( 3 port PCI adaptor card) with the delivery intended for the StarMax. It was a reasonable price and will hopefully give me USB connectivity at last. I was really surprised how upgradable the ol' machine still is when I visited Other World Computing site which is good to know. Also now considering taking the OS up to 9.for the card to run, Will it run OS 9.2.2 does anyone know, as I have this as current G3 software yet not the dead 9 ?! Can anyone give me some advise on a network card for the StarMax as well. Thought I would venture into a house network!
