Well, I guess I'll lead off since I'm already logged on here.
Overall I enjoy the show. There are things that don't gel with the
original series or even TNG, but the original series didn't gel with
the original series on more than numerous occasions. For example,
the animated episodes are more canonical to me than Star Trek V.
Oh, in case people aren't aware of what is considered Trek canon.
If it has been put on film, except the animated episodes, it is
supposed to be considered to be canon by those that know and shape
the show. I think that is one thing that people don't like about
Enterprise. It has taken what we previously knew or thought of and
either changed it or completely disregarded it. Some of this is
necessary in order to perpetuate the series, i.e. the technology.
Unless we want Enterprise to look as campy and dumb as The Munsters
or The Monkees, we've got to understand that the technology area was
a major problem. The main problem I have is T'Pol. I don't dislike
the way Jolene Blalock portrays her as such. We've never seen a
full Vulcan female in a long term role such as this. I object to the
makeup and costume people behind the set who decided what she is
supposed to look like. I do not believe the cat suit would be what
she would normally wear on Vulcan. It is a desert planet and
therefore she would roast quickly in that outfit. All the other
clothing we've seen has been loose and flowing, with the exception
of Spock's wedding, but that was ceremony. I object to her outward
appearance I suppose versus her inward appearance. Anyway, that's
what I can think of for now...have to go to work so I'll think about
it some more...
