Like I said on identi.ca, we at Fedora Project have very good experience
with it. We have our own instance, but for statusnet it would be better
to use hosted transifex.net site. Actually, initial setup has been done
several weeks ago:

The only thing left to configure is commit access to repository, but it
can be done quite quickly by admins. After that, translation submission
is automated, and statusnet maintainers are supposed only to keep source
PO file up to date and in good shape. :)
Spiffy! Can you set me up w/ admin access on it so I can poke around with the settings?
