Hi all, besides the GSoC projects, our scenery3D (3D foreground) plugin is finally approaching maturity, it should be ready for integration by October/November.
I would not call a version 1.0 before fixing the DeltaT issue, which is not so hard, technically. There are accepted models for it, and would solve many of the questions regarding solar eclipse accuracy. There are at least two branches started on the topic, what is their state? I can try to find resources (weekends) around November-December. Extinction for the Milky Way and deep-sky images is also still open, but require more OpenGL knowledge. What are the current Qt requirements, 4.7, 4.8.0, 4.8.1? There were some changes in OpenGL details with 4.8. Maybe version 1.0 should wait for and require Qt 5? So, having 0.11.4 soon and starting on 0.12.0 with GSoC and scenery3D integration for release around December makes more sense than calling something "1.0" with open issues. Is there a solution yet for finding gettext 0.18 for building with QtCreator on Windows?
