Dear Barry, thanks for the description, I have just installed on yet another PC (WinXP), never used before for Qt dev. Minor addition for end of Step2:
Qt 4.8.2 installation will emit a warning that only MinGW w32api.h version 3.13 is supported. Our new version is 3.17 (newer), and you can safely ignore the warning and continue. Maybe also the instructions on SVN are obsolete, when we are using BZR?
