Hi, just a hobbyist with a serious affection for natural
stone formations. I have been reproducing same on both a
macro and micro scale for some time. Over this past
Summer, I added water features to my own landscape and
installed several for friends. If anyone could profit by
my assorted mistakes I suppose that might be my largest
contribution to the list!
My current project involves combining a local
fossiliferous limestone with artificial erosion; passing
water slowly over the stone so that the fossil substratum
is gradually revealed while the acidic runoff nourishes
plant life. I would like to create a stand-alone piece in
this same vein but it would require boring emitter holes
into a fairly soft rock without fracturing it. Any
suggestions as to how that might be done would be
appreciated.
