I didn't get a chance to look at the traces yet, but from your analysis it sounds like the quality of hardware maybe playing a role here.
Pierre, while we are looking at the traces, do you have an access to Linux machine which can be temporarily brought into this config and be used as Linux Initiator with Overland storage? That should give us a good data point about the issues you are seeing and will help in isolating the problem. We don't have an access to an Overland array, and we are trying to get one in our lab.
