Morning Nigel, Sajid, all, The snoop file is sent ~2files of 1mb each. Regarding patches etc, i have them all. My system is running Solaris 10 6/06 with Nov Patch Cluster, latest Kernel Patch (118833-36), and the latest iscsi patch 119090-22, tried 119090-20 as well. This is sort of standard response from Sun Support. The reason for this is that my newly migrated server is running this so i can not really update to U3 of Solaris 10 (November release i think). Well will kickstart the 'old' lady running Solaris 8 today where we have Cisco iscsi implementation running and verify a few things there.
In regards to newfs -T. It does format my new disk within minutes as mentioned. After i have done this i can run a 'normal' newfs which run fine within 4min depending on the size of the disk. So, it's like i have initiated the disk and now all is well... How ever the performance remains bad when accessing the mounted file system afterwards. I have ~750kb/s accessing the system while my HP system on the same iSCSI shows 17000kb/s (see my first post). It was mearly a test as i found a forum talking about this.
