Still does not work:

# smbadm list
security mode: workgroup
workgroup name: WORKGROUP
# sharectl set -p lmauth_level=3 smb
# tail /etc/pam.conf
...
other password required pam_smb_passwd.so.1 nowarn
...
#
# passwd sean
New Password:
Re-enter new Password:
passwd: password successfully changed for sean
# ls -l /var/smb
total 4
-r-------- 1 root sys 75 Nov 29 13:36 osmbpasswd
-r-------- 1 root sys 75 Nov 29 13:46 smbpasswd
# sharemgr show -v zfs
zfs
    zfs/swimming/share1
          swimming_share1=/export/home/share1

When coming from win xp, still seeing:
Nov 29 13:49:11 cb150ykdt2d smbd[537]: [ID 653746 daemon.notice]
SmbLogon[CB150YKDT2D\SEAN]: WRONG_PASSWORD

As for share without authentication, I don't see why this is a security concern
- we don't type in password with NFS share either.

To be fair - Unix had its share of stack overflow, trojan, worm, rootkit too,
so let's just make peace with Windows on this point :-)
