Greetings Nigel, We tried running an older version of the MS iSCSI initiator, as well as one downloaded yesterday. Both exhibited the same results. The current version stamp on the iscsiprt.sys and msiscsi.sys files is 5.2.3790.3497 (dnsrv(wmbla-s).071122-2201). The iscsilog.dll is slightly different at 5.2.3790.3392 (dnsrv(wmbla-s).070813-1147. As far as the package from Microsoft, these were bundled up inside the version 2.06 initiator dated 12/5/2007 available here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=12cb3c1a-15d6-4585-b385-befd1319f825&displaylang=en
I haven't tried running a debug build of the initiator yet. Doesn't that require installing a debug/checked build of Windows as well? I'm running Solaris 10 update 8/07. I haven't tried the most recent build of Nevada to see if the problem is resolved with the newer build. The log file doesn't show anything about a core dump in any way. Basically, I see the regular service stopping/starting messages.
