Hi Eugene Over on zfs-discuss, Tano has found that disabling 'I/OAT DMA' in the BIOS fixes the problem.

Eugene, please can you report back on the the exact 'vendor id' and 'device id' for the Broadcom network chipset, by running: # /usr/X11/bin/scanpci So Eugene, do you have that BIOS option on your server...? If you have time, I would still be interested to see if that DTrace script showed any difference, before & after changing that setting (assuming you have that setting).
