I changed it to use the Portals and the targets discovery does in fact work. However, the core dump still occurs when trying to connect that way.
As for "iqn.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX", that's not the actual value... I was just obfuscating it. I am only going through my local router, and my server is actually in the DMZ. I'll see about capturing the output using your DTrace script...
