Jason,
I'm the author of the referenced thread over at the SNS GlobalSAN
forums (http://www.snsforums.com/index.php?showtopic=255). I
haven't seen any core files, but I'm still experiencing the failures
using CHAP to connect with GlobalSAN initiator 3.3.0.43 against
OpenSolaris snv_107. The initiator hangs indefinitely (1 hour and
counting). There are no errors in the target or initiator log
files, so I'm left scratching my head.
I'd love to debug this further if anyone has the patience to assist
me with it.
The hang problem is a defect of the GlobalSAN initiator. If during the
iSCSI login session, the initiator loose contact with the iSCSI
Target, the initiator GlobalSAN GUI hangs indefinitely. The only
recourse seems to be rebooting Mac OS X.
Rightfully the iSCSI Target Daemon should not dereference a NULL
pointer, dump core and restart, causing the loss in connectivity.

Thanks,
Jason
