Hi Nigel, I have normally just use the following to clear a chap password mode.
itadm modify-target -a none iqn.1986-03.com.sun:02:ss1.1 So i would agree that its not a defect because you cannot have a blank chap password there is a minimum length required. Setting authentication to none essentially causes the specified target to bypass a chap authentication requirement.
