So your SiI3726 is broken. See if you can update the device's firmware, or complain to the vendor about it. If you want to verify that the blacklist is catching it, you should try to identify the warning message in some logs. The manpage for cmn_err() seems to indicate that the error will be sent to the system log.. I don't know where cmn_err(CE_WARN, ) will log to, but I would assume /var/adm/messages or /var/log/syslog.
