Hi,

I am trying to setup OpenSolaris snv134 and I am facing problems with the
QLogic QLE2360, that I inserted into the system.

When I run the device driver utility from the install CD, it doesn't identify
the card as a QLE2360 but as a "QLogic device based on ISP2322" that is
unconfigured. After installing snv134, I edited driver_aliases to force the qlc
driver to load for this device, but that didn't work.

I also installed the QLA2300 driver and modified /etc/driver_aliases. Upon
reboot the HBA gets recognized as hba0 and the firmware revision is printed to
the console, but right afterwards, the OS seems to have issues with the HAL
daemon.

Now, the system does detect the attached storage, a NetApp Diskshelf DS14MK2,
but it seems to take forever for it to scan through the devices, taking approx.
10 minutes for each device. Once the drives are scanned though, I seem to have
no issues with the storage, as I can read/write to it without errors.

Are there any special settings that I need to pass to the driver to get this
resolved?

Furthermore, dmesg shows IRQ issues like this:

Jun 30 11:13:55 opensolaris-test unix: [ID 954099 kern.info] NOTICE: IRQ21 is
being shared by drivers with different interrupt levels.
Jun 30 11:13:55 opensolaris-test This may result in reduced system performance.
Jun 30 11:13:55 opensolaris-test unix: [ID 954099 kern.info] NOTICE: IRQ20 is
being shared by drivers with different interrupt levels.
Jun 30 11:13:55 opensolaris-test This may result in reduced system performance.

Could these cause this extreme slowdown of the OS?

Thanks,
budy
