Good morning, list members!

Thanks, Tim, for continuing to carry the torch for these e-plans, and do know that the fan club for e-democracy is quietly growing. Thanks, too, to Bob Spaulding for his exceptionally thoughtful and positive response.

Mine is less so, but this does sound like a really important set of ideas to pursue, and it ties into so many issues that many of us are pursuing, including: meaningful public involvement; "the digital divide" in all its dimensions; legitimate, representative, and authentic civic engagement; voter registration and voting rates; the Balkanization of our community; and lots more.

One key concern I have heard many express is how we grow e-Democracy opportunities while at the same time proactively preventing the continued concentration of access and impact (via language, technology, "system" knowledge, education, etc.)?

I'd be interested in some further discussion of this...
